IDF spokesman denounces 'shameful' settler riot on Shabbat: 'Not who we are'

The IDF’s international media spokesman denounces the settler rampage in the Palestinian town of Umm al-Safa.

“Shameful acts on the Sabbath,” Lt. Col. Richard Hecht writes on Twitter in response to Germany’s ambassador. “This is not who we are.
These are acts of terror performed by criminals. We are doing what we can.”

Hecht notes a suspect was arrested during the attack.
