Pop star icon Christina Aguilera sent a recorded message to her Israeli fans ahead of her upcoming first-ever concert in the Jewish state this summer.

“Shalom Israel, I’m so excited to finally make my way to Tel Aviv, this’ll be my first performance in Israel,” said Aguilera in the video. “See you at Live Park on August 10 for an unforgettable night.”

The 42-year-old will come to Israel as part of a tour marking 25 years since the beginning of her career, with a show at Rishon Lezion’s Live Park.

The American singer and songwriter, known for her vocal capabilities and for pioneering the use of feminist and pro-LGBTQ themes in pop music, will perform before a crowd of up to 15,000 people, all of whom will be standing for the duration of the show.

Not many tickets are left, noted the public relations team for Live Nation Israel, the promoter bringing Aguilera to the Jewish state.

Aguilera’s early career hits have remained popular in Israel, where the audience of the country’s most popular music radio station Galgalatz selected her 2003 ballad “Beautiful” as the second-best song of the 2000s.

Tickets, available only through Ticketmaster, are NIS 365 ($102) for a regular ticket, NIS 645 ($180) for Golden Ring B, and NIS 675 ($188) for Golden Ring A.
